One of the best things about knitting is that it is so easy to pick up the needles and squeeze in a few stitches between tasks. This is also one of the worst things...
The familiar sensation of wool between my fingers, needles in my grasp, and stitches passing between them is so comforting to me, that I often find it's hard to put them down. For some people it's a good book, for others a video game, but as a maker, nothing engages me more than the act of creating. Whether I'm seeking expression, relaxation, or recreation, I can always find it through knitting-even if that means avoiding real work.
As the year draws to a close, I want to thank all of my readers for their support. Over the upcoming weeks I will have a special opportunity for subscribers, so if you're not one already, you can sign up in the side bar.
