Sweet Tomato Heels
A friend of mine recently undertook her first sock project and posed the simple question, "how do I do this?".
I am not a sock expert, but I have worked a few pairs in my time, each using a different technique. Of the techniques that I've used, the sweet tomato heel is my absolute favorite method. It has such a clean finish and is pretty simple to execute. Socks can be intimidating [I frogged my first pair], but with this video in your arsenal, they are completely doable.
This pair of socks is my most prized pair. They are Lakeside worked in Cephalopod Skinny Bugga. Initially I worked a different heel on the first of the pair, but was just not happy with the result. So, I tore back and searched for an alternative, and I'm so glad I did. Check out the difference for yourself.
